The result of RAPP auction

 

I've recently received the auction results of RAPP, stamp auction house in Switzerland.


It says the total amount of their last auction was 17.2 million CHF including buyers'premium(20%)and VAT(7.6%).17.2 million CHF is 16 million USD.



Some says philately has lost fascination and the number of stamp collecting people decrease.

But to see 16 million USD at one time auction , that rumor is far from what it is now.



To tell the weakness in philately that is the lack of new collectors.
